Rallying Together to Stock Local Food Banks
Dighton Elementary School, Western Plains North Elementary, and Ness City Sacred Heart rallied their students and together collected nearly 2,500 food bank items to stock our local food banks in Dighton and Ness counties before summer.
Lane-Scott Electric partners every year with the local elementary schools who want to participate in the food drive classroom challenge. At the end of the challenge, the class who collects the most items receives $100 for their classroom and an end of the year lunch party. (All students do get a treat!)
Lane-Scott appreciates all the students’ hard work, the community members who donated items, and of course our local food banks who work hard to provide this important service to our communities. It’s always amazing to see how many kids put in their time and effort to collect items.
