Susan Nuss (incumbent trustee) was elected to the Lane-Scott Board of Trustees in 2023 as one of our two trustees representing the Finney and Hodgeman District. Susan and her husband, Lynn Nuss, have been life-long residents of Hodgeman County, operating irrigated farmland and managing a cow herd. They have been life-long residents of Hodgeman County with families who have been farming in the area for five generations.
Susan is the owner and operator of Blackdragon Networks, LLC in Jetmore, KS, providing reliable fixed wireless internet service for patrons in all of Hodgeman County. She worked for AT&T telephone for 29 years where she gained utility service experience. Prior to that, she earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University, a MS in Electrical Engineering with a power transmission emphasis from Kansas State University, and a MS in Applied Wireless Networking from the University of Denver. She has served on the USD #227 school board, the Hodgeman County Economic Development Board and Hodgeman County Extension board.
